How to Architect Your Own Murder Using the Inerdnet
A 15-year-old British grammar school boy has been convicted of inciting an internet friend to murder him.
The boy, who can be identified only by the pseudonym John, invented a cast of characters in a chat room as part of a plan to commission his own murder. Some of his inspiration came from James Bond films and the science-fiction blockbuster Men In Black. He was 14 when he fell in love with Mark, a boy two years older, and adopted the guise of a female secret service agent to order his friend to stab him in an alleyway. Mark was meant to end his life with the words: "I love you, bro." Mark carried out the stabbing in Altrincham, Cheshire, shortly before 8pm on June 29 last year. He knifed John in the chest and abdomen. The second blow cut into his kidney, liver and gall bladder, nearly killing him. Minutes later, Mark reported the attack on his mobile phone. Police launched a manhunt after both boys told them a stranger in black had dragged John into the alleyway and stabbed him. Advertisement Advertisement It was only when officers studied CCTV footage that they realised the boys were lying. Manchester Crown Court heard detectives studied 58,000 lines of internet text to break down the boys' account and show that John, who surfed the net for seven hours at a time, had spent six months manipulating Mark until he felt he was ready to commit murder. It emerged that John had introduced himself to Mark on the internet as a teenage girl. Mark performed sexual acts for the girl on a webcam which John watched. Later John introduced a series of other characters to the chat room, including a second girlfriend, a stalker and two secret service agents modelled on Bond films. One of the agents, identified as Agent 47695, told Mark she had been assigned to protect John. Later she ordered Mark to kill the boy, promising him a gun, a large sum of money and a meeting with British Prime Minister Tony Blair as a reward. John, wearing a checked shirt, pale blue tie and dark trousers, sat crying in the dock as the bizarre story was told. Mark, in a blue and white jumper, sat a few feet away. John pleaded guilty to inciting someone to murder him - a crime described by Judge David Maddison as "extraordinary" - and perverting the course of justice. John was sentenced to a three-year supervision order. Mark admitted attempted murder and was given a two-year supervision order. The boys were also banned from contacting each other. John was ordered to use the internet only under supervision and told that he must never go into a chat room again. Mr Clarke said: "The whole scheme John designed was to bring about his death. He was depressed, having fallen out with friends at school and having problems with his stepfather at home." John's mother told the court he now had a wider circle of friends, including a girlfriend. This movie was released months ago, and I had the oppurtunity to watch it last weekend. Three words: what a joke.
More words: Imagine Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible grinning that confident grin (that Tom Terrific smile which he shelved in The Last Samurai) every now and then. Then imagine Jacky Chan in the Drunken Master. Then imagine Batman (the first two) all dark and drab and depressed. Well, what about the Asian version of Charlie's Angel - So Close (I admit I liked this one because Vicki was the star). Now, imagine Michelle Yeoh in an awkwardly silver outfit doing all that. Trying to be serious and dedicated to the good cause like Batman, then at moments wacky like Jacky Chan followed by an unnecessary Tom Terrific grin, then at one time all playful and girly like Karen Mok. Gah!!!! Disaster. Combine all that with an horrendously plain and boring storyline, predictably predictable villain, and funny moments which you can expect to happen on screen - gah!!!!! I thought The Touch was bad - this was terrible par excellence. Listening to: Telepopmusik - Animal Man Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?
LUSAKA (Reuters) - A 50-year-old Zambian man has hanged himself after his wife found him having sex with a hen, police said Friday.
The woman caught him in the act when she rushed into their house to investigate a noise. "He attempted to kill her but she managed to escape," a police spokesman said. The man from the town of Chongwe, about 50 km (30 miles) east of Lusaka, killed himself after being admonished by other villagers. The hen was slaughtered after the incident. Context: Here. Listening to: Plastic Fantastic Machine - Whistle Song Ken Watanabe - The Lust Samurai Ken Watanabe's smoldering performance in "The Last Samurai" may have attracted female fans around the globe, but the Oscar-nominated actor is currently titillating Japan with a bitter divorce battle that has some wondering whether it'd be better to refer to him as the Lust Samurai, according to Shukan Post (6/4).Watanabe's court battle with estranged wife Yumiko has been a bitter contest filled with sordid accusations of the 44-year-old's numerous dalliances with some of the biggest names in Japanese stardom. When Yumiko Watanabe took the stand on May 13, it wasn't just her micro-miniskirt that shocked the gallery. Mrs. Watanabe told the court her actor husband's penchant for playing around had caused so much stress she started finding blood in her urine and, as Japan's best selling weekly magazine politely puts it, became "unable to maintain a relationship as a couple," the euphemism used to describe a sex life. Watanabe was apparently so enraged by his wife's inability to fulfill her connubial duties, he screamed at her, "You're useless, you blood-pissing bitch." If that wasn't enough, the wannabe ex-Mrs. Watanabe then proceeded to read out a list of top Japanese actresses she thinks her spouse has unleashed his samurai sword with - Atsuko Asano, Jun Miho, Junko Sakurada and, his "The Last Samurai" co-star, Koyuki. In addition, she also accused Watanabe of maintaining his topknot with a receptionist from national broadcaster NHK and a married woman he picked up one night in a sushi restaurant. These women are in addition to the other nine Yumiko Watanabe has already accused her husband of bedding. Naturally, those accused of contributing to the Watanabe's marriage breakdown are furious. "They did appear together in 'The Last Samurai,' but suggestions (of a fling) are groundless," a spokesman for Koyuki tells Shukan Post. Asano's handlers also refute the claims. "They worked together on a TV drama three years ago, but we've got no idea how rumors of an affair started," a PR man from the actress's talent agency says. Toshio Ishikawa, an entertainment beat reporter covering the Watanabe's wrangle, says the wife appears to be barking up the wrong tree. "Apparently, the wife's side has submitted documents of unknown origin that offer proof of Watanabe's infidelity, but I've got my doubts about whether this will be admissible," the hack tells Shukan Post. "You can only go so far trying to bring women troubles into a divorce case." Mrs. Watanabe's lawyers, though, claim they've yet to play their trump card, which should get the actor, instead of his apparent partners, down on his knees. "We've got a photo that Mr. Watanabe had been hiding. And in the photo is one of his fling partners. I can't say who it is, though," the attorney says. Watanabe has refused to comment publicly on his split and the ensuing divorce proceedings. But a very close friend of his wife's says she's getting ready to take her husband to the cleaners. "There have been nine women's names brought before the court already, but of all of them the one in which Yumiko is certain was playing around with Ken was Koyuki. They were shooting together in Kyoto last summer and she's preparing to get one of the film crew to testify to seeing Watanabe and Koyuki playing around together," the pal tells Shukan Post. "She's also got the private investigators out probing into affairs with two or three other actresses." Listening to: Underworld - Cowgirl (Live in Belfast)
