The United States Army has long lured recruits with the slogan "Be All You Can Be" but now soldiers and their families can receive plastic surgery, including breast enlargements, on taxpayers' money.
The New Yorker magazine reports in its July 26 edition that members of all four branches of the US military can get face-lifts, breast enlargements, liposuction and nose jobs for free - something the military says helps surgeons practice their skills.
"Anyone wearing a uniform is eligible," Dr Bob Lyons, chief of plastic surgery at the Brooke Army Medical Centre in San Antonio told the magazine, which said soldiers needed the approval of their commanding officers to get the time off.
Between 2000 and 2003, military doctors performed 496 breast enlargements and 1,361liposuction surgeries on soldiers and their dependents, the magazine said.
The magazine quoted an Army spokeswoman as saying, "the surgeons have to have someone to practice on".

I've been lagging in this entry lately due to one very big stumbling block: finding a good song of the week. It's hard, because I've been trying to find sounds (or songs) that are rare, classic, and different. Hence, SOTW have not been SOTW lately. But, here's SOTW, courtesy of none other than budding DJ, dj phuturecybersonique. He writes: One of my key musical influences has gotta be Liam Howlett i.e. the brains behind The Prodigy. Here's a remix of The Prodigy's classic No Good (Start The Dance) from their Music For The Jilted Generation album. In a spate of boredom mixed with nostalgia of my early years listening to electronica (1993/1994) and tracking MODs on my Commodore Amiga A1200 computer, the track was broken down, deconstructed and emphutured by yours truly. Featuring warped synths, vocodered voices, reprogrammed breaks. Tools used: Pentium 3-733 PC with 512MB RAM running Skale Tracker (http://www.skale.org), CoolEdit Pro 1.0, assorted sample CDs, Casio WK-1800 keyboard. Bleed ears, bleed! Gentlemen and Ladies, straight from a bedroom studio in Kajang, No Good (Start The Dance) [Emphuturement Mix]. Totally rocking!
If any of you guys have recommendations for SOTW, just let me know.
Watching: An extremely boring country love movie thingy on 8TV.

Question: When the winner of last night's round of Malaysian Idol was announced, did any of them (Zamil, Vick and Dina) peed on their pants? I mean, it was an extremely emotional moment for them right?
Question: If Vick were to smile from ear to ear, will his eyes become a straight line?
Anways, congrats to the three of them, especially to Vick whom I shall say, the only guy with not only, gaya, but mutu as well. The keunggulan part can come later.
