• people at my apartment block are inconsiderate - no one bothers to hold the lift while others are still getting into it. this happened twice today. stupid no manners lemon eater!


• air con was at full blast at the office today, i sense a cold coming. ach-i-tiuuuuuuu.


• there is no coffee, or the means to make coffee in the office yet, so, i don't mind dozing off in front of everyone.


• what's the boring part of learning a new programming language? reading about it. reading a book on how to learn a new language is just so dull, as opposed to reading say, programming perl or perl cookbook (a language that i've already known


• everyone's been asking when i'm going to balik kampung for chinese new year. i should have said my kampung's in selayang. but instead i went on a tirade of i'm not chinese yada yada yada neither am i mixed yada yada yada i'm iban goddammit yada yada - which leads to a barrage of questions like: what is your race? what do you celebrate? how often do you go back to kuching? can you swim there? gahhhhh!*

it's an hsf modem, so i emerged hsfmodem - that's the driver from linuxant. well, nothing works. this is really damn disappointing. commercial. linux. drivers. suck.

just a quick follow up regarding we're hiring, specifically on what my company does. first and foremost, we're a software development house. while some of our current jobs are project based, in the long run, the idea is to develop and sell software.

after years in the business, i realize that projects do not come every month. one moment you'll be doing a project worth 10k, the next you're sitting in your ass wandering what shits you've gotten yourself into, and most of the time hoping clients will come back to you and sign the bloody contract. now, this is not the way to go, unless you want to go insane.

so the best thing to do is have something that can give your company a constant, recurring income, that is product. and if you've get a project, you can wrap your products into the project as well.

another advantage of having product is that you have IPs (intellectual properties), something of value that you and your shareholders own. what can you do with IPs? i consider it an exit plan. so, yes, i do have exit plans. but let's not talk about exit plans because it's the least of my concern now.

now talking about products, what product? good question. i've been doing security for years, and yes, the product(s) are security related. it is however, best for me to keep it under wraps until we have an actual thing coming out of the mill grinder.
