is quite a feel-good movie that make me feel kinda smitten, in the stomach. Well, it is a feel good movie where the ending always turns out in your favor, and if a particular situation doesn't reckon it to (Chiwetel Ejiofor marries Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln secretly longs for the hot babe, only told her on Christmas eve, but it is half a world too late and nothing you can do anymore buddy kinda-situation), Richard Curtis made you
feel that way as well, like he did in Four Weddings and a Funeral. I'm not sure wether the same is for Notting Hill and Bridget Jones Diary as I haven't watched them.
Nevertheless, the movie is, actually, quite good, but it does not cut it. The characters are just too forgetable, except for 12 year-old Jimmy (is that his name) who falls in love with Joanne and is so determined to win her heart that he learns to play the drum just to get noticed by her. And Bill Nighy who plays a washed-up Iggy-Pop/Rod Steward-alike rock singer. He is just brilliant.
Well, all in all, it is not that bad.

p/s: I suck at movie reviews, so don't expect much.
