Unfortunately, Melvin is right. I have had very good experience driving overseas.
Courtesy goes a long way but unfortunately, many Malaysians choose to be selfish.
The sad thing is that I've seen much worse. Some idiot, actually parked their car blocked the only exit lane out of 1 Utama external car park, blocking out um.. I dunno a thousand cars or so. Must be common, because the staff were well prepared with equipment to jack move vehicles.
Another person during last Ramadhan in SS18, parked their car in front of somebody's else's house gate, then left it there. I know for at least half an hour until I left, it was still there and the poor occupants couldn't drive out of their own house and honking like hell. I think instead of just cars, that pics of their faces should be put up on public websites for all to see if possible.
kaeru: that actually happened to me before! my neighbour was hosting an open house party, and one of their idiots had to park right in front of my house. i honked so damn long only the nitwit came to remove the car.
I've seen worst in fact. Just outside of my company, quite a lot of cars double park. 1, due to there not being too much parking space and then 2. they're plain lazy to walk.
So, usually, they either leave their hp number or leave the handbrake off. But this stupid car, didn't do neither and ended up with a broken side window and alarms blaring. Serves them right in my books. In fact, from what I can see, the amount of tax and parking fees which we pay is actually a non-essential item. What the authorities should and can do is just do more rounds, slap more tickets, NOT reduce the fines and get everyone to pay up! Instead of using our tax dollars to send ppl to space(among others), let's at least pay more to our police officers so that the rasuah menace can be contained and they get better benefits and incentive to do their jobs and have bulletproof vests to wear when they go on drug busts. I mean, WTF man.. no money to buy bulletproof vests? That's ridiculous! Stop giving out discounts to summons and go write more of them!! |
