  • december 13, 2005 is dean gray tuesday. read all about dean gray at downhillbattle. mp3s downloads can be found on the main page of downhillbattle.org.

  • jim geovedi (fellow computer hacker/geek from indonesia) has produced some self-made digital "noises", under the guise of hyponemesis. you can download his stuff here. they're good; raw digital sound.

  • fyodor, another fellow hacker/geek who resides in taiwan also occasionally releases some digital "noise". you can download his stuff from the links in his blog, and visit his music blog here.

  • i was asked the difference between noise and noise. it was a tough question, because what is apparently not noise to one may sound like noise to another, and vice versa (i can't find a good example now). i found this link from fyodor's blog that might provide (if not, guide) answers to the question.

  • christmas is around the corner. remember this: cds from major record labels make crappy presents. instead, make mix cds (or tapes) for your friends.

  • digital music library categorization. i could not agree more. the way we listen to music sucks. we rely too much on mp3 tags (id3). seems like moodlogic is the answer i've been looking for.

Hmmm...Noise, I know some people who find sound eminating from modem handshaking to be exciting. I suppose much like fyodors songs ;-). Some other do have interesting hobbies like listening to cross talks and out of phase sound during speakers benchmarking.
