mac, thanks for the info about alison moyet. somehow i always conflate her and robert smith.
mel, i find selected ambient works probably one of his more easily digestable albums, e.g. compared to drukqs 1 and 2 which have some erm-this-is-too-minimal-but-distorted tracks for a philistine like me.
sze: with songs about Pi and washing clothes, it's hard to get into first. still listening to it.
supertramp's breakfast in america: take a look at my girlfriend, she's the only one i got, not much of a girlfriend, don't seem to get a lot they're fab! i have aphex twin analord 1 & 2, haven't got their selected works yet. i find them an acquired taste.
For Alison Moyet, I wud relook at her Singles/Live album which had some rework. Choices of song includes :- Only You, All Cried Out, Weak in the presence of Beauty and Is this Love.
For SuperTramp, there is the song called School, Logical Song and Hide in Your Shell (This song is a bit long though - DJs hated it)
i only know logical song by supertramp, which is fab! what i've heard by alison moyet is a bit too waily though. which album would you recommend?
Sze,
If U r into Kate Bush, check out alternative such as Alison Moyet and SuperTramp. Spoonfork finds SuperTramp.....interesting
i love aphex twin's selected ambient works. are you listening to the new kate bush? how is it?
jeff buckley (thanks to sze for the recommendation), aphex twin, kraftwerks, kate bush
