i was standing outside
on the verandah when
i heard the neighbors
making love
that loud eh?
yea. they must be in the
living room.
you sure it was not
some porn that was
playing?
sure. it sounded real.
what were you doing up
at 4:00 a.m? were they too
loud that you can't sleep?
nope.
i had a nightmare.
three dwarfs were after me.
like the ones in Snow White?
not quite. they were mean,
with hairs on their bodies,
red eyes and tails sticking
out of their backs. just like
the Devil. they got horns on
their foreheads, just like the Unicorn
but theirs are sticking upwards.
remember the guy from Lost Highway?
yea.
they looked just like him.
two of them grabbed me by the
hands. they were so strong.
they took me to the top
of a very tall building.
a church or something like
that.
they took me to the edge
and threw me down.
i felt myself falling.
that was when i woke
up. my heart was beating
like a drum.
then i heard the moans
and groans.
he came the moment after
i finished my cigarette.
that was something to wake
to, wasn't it?
it was only a nightmare.
everyone had one.
