Yahoo Japan Corp said Thursday it will start selling across the country later this month "ramen" noodle soup it has developed on the basis of the results of a popularity contest conducted via the Internet.

The product, dubbed "Samurai Ramen," features soup made from scorched "miso" fermented soy bean paste and pork bones, and a main topping of barbecued pork, Japan's largest Internet portal operator said.
